FJWC Week of August 29th

Below you will find highlights from Sunday’s meeting as well as useful links for multiple volunteer opportunities. 

• Register HERE to be a SBISD volunteer for the current school year.
• SUBMIT eBlast communication or questions to FJWC by Friday @ 5pm for the following week.
• The last day to JOIN FJWC is September 15th!
• The Juniorette/Work Crew kick-off meeting is Sunday, September 11th @ 4pm.

Bayou City Blessings: August is canned green beans and September is canned corn, if you would like to donate contact Julie Bryant for more information. Sign up HERE for the September assembly.

Bayou City Blessings – Sherwood Elementary:  HERE you will find a Sign-Up Genius for the Sherwood Elementary (1700 Sherwood Forest St 77043) chapter of Blessings in a Backpack. We have a chance to spend a lot of time with this wonderful charity during the 2022-2023 school year as they are now under the FJWC umbrella. If you are able, please sign up for a 1.5 hr time slot on a Friday of your choosing. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities to come, so if you sign up this go-round, please consider waiting until later sign ups to schedule a second visit. This is an opportunity to not only drop off the “Blessings” to Sherwood Elementary, but also meet the children who benefit directly from this program. Thank you in advance for your help!

CanCare: Sign up HERE for the upcoming CanCare golf tournament so you can get a head start on planning your volunteer hours! I hope to have all spots filled by September 15th. The shifts are as follows: Sunday, October 2 from 4:30 – 6 at The Briar Club and Monday, October 3 from 11 am-2 pm and 2 pm-5:30 pm at Memorial Park Golf Course. Sign up for your shift today!
