AYAM– We need your help! Every 2nd grade classroom in SBISD is given the opportunity to come to the Altharetta Yeargin Art Museum (AYAM) for their district fine arts field trip. AYAM needs all volunteers to please complete the SBISD volunteer background check. They now have the Raptor System just like all SBISD Schools and need to be in compliance with the SBISD.

Houston Symphony Volunteer Opportunities for Moms– This is a GREAT opportunity for MOMS to earn 8 hours in 1 day since they occur during the school day! Shift is 830am-1pm Click HERE to volunteer.
Mother and Child Volunteer Opportunity with Houston Symphony- This is a GREAT opportunity for MOMS and CHILD(s) PAIRS to earn 8 hours in 1 day since they occur on a SATURDAY! (Shift is actually only from 8:15am – 1pm but you get 8 hours credit) *Its preferred if you can work the FULL SHIFT, but understand that you may only be able to work 8:15-10 or 11am-1pm. If you sign up and can only volunteer for the HALF SHIFT, please let Ashley Milligan know. Click HERE to volunteer.

FOOD PANTRIES
Please consider further serving our food pantries by signing up to volunteer this year. The food pantries essentially operate year round (with the exception of some holiday closures), so it’s a great opportunity for a rewarding experience while getting those hours in! FAMILY POINT RESOURCES:
- Donut Dash Nov. 9th – The FPR Donut Dash is a community-wide 1 Mile Family Walk/Run & 5K Run held at the beautiful Nottingham Park. Participants dash, at their own sweet pace, through the park then enjoy donuts from a variety of Houston vendors after the finish line.
Sign up HERE! - FAMILY POINT RESOURCES needs some MOM volunteers to help 1st graders with reading on Tuesday afternoon between 3:15-4:15. Please consider volunteering to help these sweet kiddos out.
- Family Point Resources programs rely on volunteers to be successful and help the staff support participants. It’s a great way for our kids to get hours helping out after school tutoring, playing sports, games and more. Follow the steps below to become a volunteer. Both adults and kids need to complete the background check before volunteering.
