The Juniorettes/ Work Crew Kick Off Meeting was a huge success! We had 130 kids show up for the meeting! A huge thank you to Kaci Guy and Joci Moss for pulling off this incredible event.

Sherwood Elementary – Blessings in a Backpack: Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for all your help with Sherwood Elementary Blessings in a Backpack. Below please find a sign-up genius for our Thursday packing nights through December. We are asking that all volunteers bring a 4-pack of fruit cups for our “pantry” when they come to their assigned packing night. Such a big help for us! Thank you in advance for your service!!! Blessings in a Backpack – Bayou City: We have lots of volunteer opportunities for Blessings in a Backpack – Bayou City in October!

Evening events: Community packing evening events on October 4 and October 20 at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. Morning events: Drivers to take food bags from Holy Spirit to Meadow Wood, Hollibrook, Treasure Forest or Spring Shadows Elementary Schools on Friday mornings. Help distribute food bags to classrooms at Spring Shadows on Friday mornings. Use sign up geniuses below to volunteer. Also for those who signed up to make Halloween treat bags don’t forget they are due the week of October 10-14.

CanCare: Here is the SignUp Genius for the upcoming CanCare golf tournament so you can get a head start on planning your volunteer hours! I hope to have all spots filled by September 15.

Monday, October 3 from 11 am-2 pm and 2-5:30 pm at Memorial Park Golf Course

Houston Symphony: Sign up HERE to volunteer for student concerts hosted by the Houston Symphony. As of now, the concerts available for sign up are the only ones planned for this school year. See you at the show!

MDPC Food Pantry: The Fuente Pantry is still distributing food to 400+ families every Saturday and we will need more volunteers every week. Sign up HERE  and join us for a couple of hours any Saturday.
