VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: 

MAM

Please see the SUG to volunteer at MAM. You can work a 2-hour or a 4-hour shift! Make a note when you sign up that you’re with FJWC. Be sure to sign the waiver before your shift. MAM has a strictly-enforced dress code. Click HERE to volunteer.

 

AYAM

We need your help! Every 2nd grade classroom in SBISD is given the opportunity to come to the Altharetta Yeargin Art Museum for their district fine arts field trip. Sculpture is the theme of this trip. Please see the attached Sign Up Genius for volunteer shifts. Click HERE to volunteer.

** Reminder: if you wish to volunteer at AYAM, you must be a registered volunteer with SBISD. The link to register is HERE and only takes a few minutes to complete.

 

Bayou City Blessed in a Backpack Volunteer Opportunities!

We have a variety of fun ways to get your service hours. Weekly drivers-dropping off food bags for kids to have on the weekend, weekly community packing events, helping manage school children packing events and dedicated FJWC packing events. All are fun, fast and fulfilling! Packing events can always include spouses, Juniorettes and work crew. The more the merrier.

Please help Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack by signing up for these community packing events. These are family friendly events. Help even more by bringing in food focus items each month. August-Boxed macaroni and cheese (7.25 oz box), September and October-Canned chicken noodle or tomato soup, November-Canned vegetables (14.5 oz can), December-Canned chicken noodle or tomato soup, January-Chef Boyardee (microwave size), February-Boxed mac and cheese (7.25 oz box), March-Granola bars-NO NUTS, April-Beef jerky sticks, May-Individual packets of oatmeal-NO NUTS, June-Granola bars-NO NUTS, July-Raisins or craisins Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack: Weekly bag delivery drivers (Fall)

Join the fun, earn your hours and help our community! Drop off food bags at SBISD schools. An easy and fulfilling way to get service hours. Drop off your kids at school, pick up the blessings bags, drop the bags off at a local school, return the blessings bags and you are done. Feel free to adopt a school and keep it all year or share a school with a friend and alternate. Blue bags must be returned after delivery! No exceptions this year. These packing nights are just for FJWC! Bring your family, friends and neighbors to help-the more the merrier and faster it goes. It is great knowing we are helping the kids in our community! Spring Branch Blessings in a Backpack – Friday bag deliver at Thornwood Elementary

Here is the sign up to help deliver bags on Fridays to Thornwood Elementary School. Each shift starts at 8:15AM and ends by 9:00AM. Volunteers meet at the main office of TWE (14400 Fern Drive) with their IDs. Thank you in advance for your help!! Click HERE to volunteer.

 

Fall luncheon benefitting Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack

Please make plans to attend this educational and fun event benefiting Bayou City Blessings in a Backpack. Tickets and tables are available for purchase now.

RUMMEL CREEL ELEMENTARY FALL FESTIVAL

Rummel Creek Elementary School’s Fall festival is scheduled for October 17th after school.  As in past years, the school would love volunteers from our Work Crew.  This is a great opportunity for our students to get some hours!  Click HERE to sign up for volunteer shifts for this fun event
