Updated Family Point Resources Training Process

Here is what both moms and students need to do to get approval to work with children at Family Point:

1. Complete the volunteer application.
2. Receive and complete a background check that will be sent via email. Everyone 18 and older must undergo a background check (similar to SBISD’s). If a parent signs the parent consent form, then minors do not need to undergo a background check.
3. Sign up for an in-person training at The Outreach Center of West Houston. These trainings are offered on Friday evenings once a month. The next training is Friday, January 14th from 5:30 – 6:15 pm.
4. Once you receive an email verifying you have been cleared, you may sign up to volunteer.
